How should I take the Original Moss gel?
We recommend taking 1–2 tablespoons daily, ideally in the morning. You can enjoy it straight from the spoon, stirred into water or juice, or blended into smoothies. It can also be add to hot drinks or food. It’s your daily ritual of nourishment—no prep, no fuss.
What does it taste like?
Our Irish Sea Moss gel has a neutral, light citrus flavour that blends easily into food or drink. It's not fishy, and it's not sweet- just a clean and natural taste. Most customers say they don’t even notice it in smoothies or food. It can also be added into children's food or smoothies without them knowing!
Where does Irish Sea Moss come from?
All our Irish Sea Moss is hand-picked from the West Coast of Ireland where it is grown naturally on the rocky coastline of the Atlantic. The Irish Sea Moss binds to the rocks and naturally pulls minerals and nutrients from the rock and the ocean which is why it is so nutritionally dense.
Is Sea Moss the same as Irish Sea Moss?
The term "Sea Moss" is often misused to describe various warm-water seaweeds like Eucheuma cottonii and Gracilaria (often called Jamaican Irish Moss), which are commonly rope-grown in places like Vietnam and St. Lucia. However, true Irish Sea Moss is Chondrus Crispus, a distinct species that grows naturally in cold Atlantic waters, especially along Ireland’s coast.
Despite the widespread use of the term "Sea Moss" online, 99% of products sold under that name are actually Gracilaria, not the authentic Chondrus Crispus. The Moss Way uses only organic, hand-harvested Chondrus Crispus from the pristine coastline of County Clare, Ireland.

How long does the Original Moss gel last?
Our gels are made fresh to order without any artificial preservatives, giving them a 3-week shelf life. This is perfect if following the recommended 1-2 tablespoons daily. The gel can also be frozen for up to 3 months, either in the jar or in ice cubes. Once defrosted please use within 3 weeks.
When will I see results?
In the first few days most people notice better digestion, less bloating or improved bowel movements. From the second week most notice energy starts to rise, a subtle lift that continues through the day (not like caffeine spikes). After a few weeks, people say they have Clearer skin, better sleep, balanced hormones and more stable mood
